I may not be good at all of them, or care as much as I used to with friends, but nonetheless, they are all enjoyable to me. I play them and I try to make the best of it and have fun. You can say whatever you want about my post and downvote it for all I care, but I enjoy mw2. (example, without the nuke, no one would be asking each and every year whether or not there would be a game ending killstreak again). mw2 pushed it and went way over the top (probably too far), but how else to follow up to cod 4? mw2 introduced a lot of ground work for all future cods to follow suit. each game is a learning process and a step towards new things. but the way I see it, if it weren't for cod 4 and mw2 before it, we wouldn't have had mw3. I certainly agree MW3 was much more balanced and a better multiplayer experience than mw2. Now I'm not denying the game was perfect. Quickscope/no-scope lobbies became such a thing ("1v1 me on rust lul"), tube spawn traps across the maps, secret spots on maps (scaffolding on Highrise comes to mind), trick shooting for final kill cam.

The game just introduced so much to the series and brought so much to the table, for better of for worse. Everyone was using OP things so in a sense to me, the unbalanced was actually balanced lol. every lobby you would get in was someone trying to go for one.

Sure everyone rages from time to time, but it was a game full of madness. Sure things like OMA and shotty secondaries changed the game, but I never really thought it took away from the game. and yet, this is very where the brokenness and unbalanced traits of the game came in. And man o man, calling in that very first nuke for the very first time and ending the game is a feeling that I wont forget. And ultimately going from "ill never be able to get a 25 streak and call in a nuke" to "have fast can I drop a nuke" and trying to best my own records. I started out going for lower streaks and it was nice getting them until I really pushed myself to want to go for bigger/better ones. Then there was getting to pick our own killstreaks for the first time! It really helped me grow as a player. I really found myself for the first time wanting to do for all the challenges for all the different titles/emblems/camos. all the new customization and variety (despite like you said there being very OP things that everyone used) really got my attention and hyped the game for me. I started playing with CoD 3 and continue now all the way through to IW/MWR, and soon to be WWII)And personally, it really pushed the envelope for me. Why do people enjoy it so much?įor me, it brings me back to a time in my life when I really was getting big time into gaming. If MW2 released today as a brand new game, I'm almost sure its multiplayer would be hated and called what it is, unbalanced and unfair. The MSR is in it, and it is a great rifle that can compare to the Intervention. Grenade launchers are there, but not as powerful. They are almost the same game, but with almost all of the kinks from 2 straightened out. I think that MW3 is a much better game than its predecessor. Sure it had Terminal, Rust, and Favela, but what are some other good maps from the game? Not many more come to mind. Why? There were numerous problems with the game, such as OMA, massive explosive damage, (think noob toobing) OP guns and really not a lot of great maps.

Yet, when I see anyone bring it up, it is met with high praise. MW2 is an unbalanced, glitchy, unfair game. I really hate MW2, and I don't get why it is put up on such a high pedestal when talking about the greatest games in the series. Before I start, this is my honest opinion.
